stuff i did right
- i started soon after my step 1 results
- i did almost all relevant qbanks
- i quickly gave up on doing uw fully random from the start
- i quickly gave up on anki apart from screening and vaccinations
- i didnot depend fully on qbanks but did normal studying (reading and watching)
- i did only tell few people about when i am sitting 2ck to alleviate pressure
- i realized that 2ck is just like step 1 so i should do what worked for me in step 1 with a few tweaks oriented more towards maxxing scores
- i didnot rush my prep at all and took my time and sat when i felt i have nothing else to do
stuff i did wrong
- i memorized so many stuff in the beginning without real understanding so i advice all to understand why we do x to manage the disease dont just memorize cuz my base was deformed and it took lots of work to fix that
- i wasnot serious about uw from start and like first 25% i had weak retention from due to changing how i do qs alot (random vs systems) and i was on the high of passing step 1
- i did all of amboss but that added like 3 months to my prep which could have been trimmed
- i was a little unorganized in tracking my scores in cms forms so i suggest u keep track better
- i tried so many reading sources and that wasted my time i should have commited to uw library and melhman from start but i kept alternating till before my exam by like five months i stuck to them
- i wish i had someone who did nbmes with me but couldnot find a reliable partner, when i did so in step 1 it made me perform better
